Common Job Interview Questions

I came across these interview questions on CollegeGrad.com, and even though this is a site focused on new college grads the answers to these common questions can apply to many of you – even those who have been in the professional work world for a while.

I agree it is great to bone up on questions that may be asked during your interview. But more importantly prior to this stage you will need to really do your work on why you match up with the organization.  We call this process MatchMining, which is a three-part process designed to give you the ability to clarify and articulate your value, assess what you can bring to the employer and assess what you need from the employer.

Truly knowing what you offer, what your strengths are and how you can apply them with the organization, as well as what your weaknesses are and how you can handle the gaps in experience will really be the foundation that gets you results in the interview.

So, by all means don’t skip the step of practicing possible interview questions, but be sure your answers have a solid foundation, which is developed through your MatchMining.
