Interested in using those skills you’ve developed in the for-profit world to do good for those in need? Finding jobs, volunteer opportunities, and internships in the non-profit world has never been easier with the advent of several web resources devoted to compiling these job opportunities. They include:

  • Idealist, a national site compiling job submissions from multiple non-profit employers, both domestically and abroad. The site allows you to set up daily email updates to yourself compiling jobs by field or region to stay on top of the most recent openings.
  • Craigslist. Find your city in the sidebar and you are likely to find many postings for positions in your local non-profit community. The “volunteer” section can also point you to numerous organizations looking for help. Maybe that volunteer gig will turn into a full-time job.
  • Google search. Many cities have their own local pages that post job listings for non-profits free of charge. Search your city and “non-profit” and “jobs” to see what is out there.
