About Your Guide

Your guide is a veteran freelance writer with more than 15 years of journalism experience. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, BusinessWeek Online, Business 2.0 Magazine, MyBusiness Magazine, Smart HomeOwner, Phoenix Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business and many other publications.

Dan has carved out his own unique career, combining a full-time editing job with a busy freelance-writing career. He works from home four days a week, and is now busy building another side of his career: fiction writing. In the summer of 2008, his first comic book mini-series, GEARZ, was published by an independent comics company.

Dan’s goal with this blog is to help others carve out their own dream careers, whether that means working from an office full time, working from home every day or a combination of the two.
